Gansbaai 100 years old #Gansbaai100
On 21 October 1921 the first title deed for Gansbaai was registered, marking the official start of this coastal village. Activity in the region points to life prior this. The Danger Point Lighthouse is 120 years old while Gansbaai Primary established 115 years ago. Research has it that Erf 10 was the first property to be recorded on the Gansbaai property listing.
Celebrating a century of development will be done with a programme that started with a walk from Gansbaai Tourism to the freshwater fountain in the new harbour. 52 people joined the walk with the oldest person 84 and the youngest 8. Lighthouse2Lighthouse Ladies travelled from Hermanus join this celebratory walk.
