On Tuesday 20 December 2022 the Overstrand remembered Sir Robert Stanford on the 145th anniversary of his death.
Born in 1806 in Ballinastanford Ireland, serving in the British army and choosing to settle on the farm Kleine Riviers Vallei where Stanford is today. As a heritage village Stanford offers quiet charm, a flourishing farming community with many artists keeping the town vibrant.
