Women of the Overberg: Leanne Dryburgh
Leanne is well known for capturing some magnificent Overberg moments on camera and has trained many aspiring photographers, including tourism staff. Not only does she give expert guidance on the optimal use of cameras but she also teaches how to apply the camera in our hands – our cellphones – to create the best possible image.
She moved to Hermanus with photographer husband Peter Hassall in 2012, set up Photowalkers and has become a local in every sense of the word. Whatever needs photographed Leanne can make it happen. She’s famous for portraits and weddings but also adept at capturing architecture, seascapes, food & wine, events… you name the occasion and Leanne can replicate the moment.
