Women of the Overberg: Corlea Fourie & Natasha Williams

Cape Whale Coast

Corlea Fourie

Corlea decided on a career while working in pubs and restaurants in Scotland during a gap year. The social side of winemaking and the science behind it was the combination that she was looking for. After completing a winemaking degree she did an internship at a Wellington winery with an eligible bachelor as winemaker. Today Corlea is married to same – Bertus Fourie. She has been making wines at Bosman Family Vineyards in Wellington since 2007.

Natasha Williams

Natasha grew up in the Swartland and studied oenology at Stellenbosch University. She joined Bosman Family Vineyards in 2014 and with a passport filled with stamps and the experience of harvesting in various vineyards around the globe, Natasha was well equipped to take over winemaking at the Lelienfontein cellar in Wellington in 2019.

How are Natasha and Corlea linked to the Overberg? Bosman Family Vineyards also has a property in Hemel-en-Aarde where vines are crafted and grown. The grapes from this farm are used for the Bosman Generation and Family Vineyards wines. The work of these formidable ladies. Don’t be surprised to find Corlea or Natasha wandering through the Bosman Hermanus vineyards, sitting on the deck of the tasting room in Hemel-en-Aarde, or discussing wine a restaurant in Hermanus.
